The Third Annual Conference on Sustainable Development in Latin America and the Caribbean will be held on April 7th, 2018 at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies (F&ES).
This year’s theme The Silent Leadership of Latin America and the Caribbean aims to showcase Latin America and the Caribbean’s crucial contributions that shaped the path towards global sustainability.
Born out of student initiative, the event will be co-hosted by F&ES, the Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies (CLAIS) at The MacMillan Center and McCluskey fellow Dr. Grethel Aguilar, Regional Director of IUCN Mesoamerica.
The conference will shed light on challenges and successes in the areas of gender equity, indigenous identity, and advancing the sustainable development agenda with leaders from the public and private sector, academia, non-governmental organizations, and indigenous communities.
